Arnala Sea Fort
The fort of Arnala overlooks the confluence of River Vaitarna and the Arabian
Sea. Built on the Arnala island; the fort walls offers breathtaking views of the
sea.

Vasai Sea Fort
Vasai fort, was built during the Portuguese rule in 1535. Portuguese stayed
here from 1535-1739.There are around 7 churches
in this fort. Marathas won this fort in 1739 under Chimaji Aappa Peshwa and
built 3 temples in the fort. Marathas ruled
from 1739-1818 and it was later won by the British.

Jivdani Temple
The most significant landmark in Virar is the Jivdani temple located on the
mountain (“Jivdani Doanger”) visible from the railway station.Many people of
Vasai especially – Mangayle, Koli and Bhandhari treat Javdani as their family
goddess.

Vajreshwari is famous for its temple and hot water springs. It is mentioned as a
in ancient "Puran" or holy books as a place blessed by the footsteps of Lord
Rama and Lord Parshuram.

Buddha Stupa
Ancient Buddha Stup in Nalasopara (Ancient Shurparak) built by Samrat Ashoka in
3rd Century BC. Nalasopara is believed to have been Gautama Buddhas birthplace in a previous life.
